As promised – Birthday photos!

First, a quick recap of the evening…

V, Candace, Ingrid, Todd and I all hit up Ketchup for dinner in WeHo.  Delish!  It also has a great view of the Sunset Strip.  We ordered appetizers first – three different types of french fries & sweet potato fries, mac & cheese infused with crab, and crab cakes by themselves.  It was really good!  Shortly after we placed our orders for main courses, Tim Allen walked in with his daughter and her friends.  Fun little celebrity sighting there   Except he walked in after us, and of course got his food WELL before we did!  We waited an hour for main courses, but we didn’t mind because we were all having so much fun <3  Then they broke out the Crumbs cupcakes for me!  I had a strawberry shortcake one with lime frosting.  Seriously amazing!  And we shared one with the waiter because we’re cool like that!

After dinner, V called it a night and dropped us all off at The Standard, which is a cute hotel that hosts pool parties on Friday and Saturday’s when it’s warm enough outside.  It wasn’t warm enough last night, but it was still a really cute place!  Then we headed over to the Olive and just chatted outside.  On our way, we sang and danced with an adorable homeless man who told Candace that she was “Too Good to Be True” and then sang the song to her.  It was fabulous.  haha.

Anyway, we had a wonderful time!  Here are some photos!

You know who’s been on mind a lot lately?

Jesus.

Yep, THE Man!  And I’m so happy about that.  I’ve been thinking about how it seems like others have been super judgemental towards me lately, and I had simply forgotten that it really only matters what He thinks.  It’s hard to not let what others say affect you, especially if you’re a sensitive soul like me… but when it comes down to it, am I spreading HIS word?  Am I doing good things in HIS name?  Gosh, I hope so. 

I want people to see His light in me.  I want my actions to reflect the things that God wants.  Why in the world would anyone want to walk through this life alone?  Don’t you want to walk it with someone who knows where you’re going?  I know I do.
