- Welcome to the life of a REAL 20-something Hollywood Hottie -
So this cute guy has been trying to talk to me, and I’ve been super “whatever” about it. And I just figured out why. Dude isn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed unfortunately =/ The first time he said, “We’ll play it by year,” I let it go thinking it was just a text-message finger slip… yeah, he just used that phrase again. As far as I know, that’s not a real phrase. I just can’t get past it! I dunno what’s wrong with me. Am I being too petty here? lol.
Is it wrong to want it all? Is it wrong to think I deserve to wait for someone who is the complete package (for me)? I know I complain a lot about the boys out here, but I hope that I’ll know what I want when I see it
And hopefully that person will also know what he wants when he sees it… and that it will actually be ME for once! I’m willing to be patient right now… not sure how long I’m willing to be patient, but hopefully it won’t take forever!

You asked the question if you were being petty. My answer is yes.
OMG! Please Google “play it by year” now! Apparently a lot of people think it’s “play it by year”. That is too funny, I’m cracking up over here.
You are so not being petty! That is a red flag. Don’t ignore your red flags. I used to ignore mine and that landed me with some real losers. I am all for holding out for Mr. Right, which in my case is Charlie Hunnam
Tex – Thanks for your honesty, but I think I’m going to continue to be picky. Maybe I’ll give this guy another shot, but I just don’t think the connection is going to be there. Or maybe I’m wrong and he’ll be cracking me up with his phrases that are aren’t quite right. haha.
Nicolle – thanks for telling me I’m not crazy for being so picky!
I can tell you from experience that when it’s the right guy, “play it by year” will be endearing. I’m the grammar guru of my family really and yet married a man who says “prinsil” for pretzel and “pillards” for pillars among other weird words and phrases. I correct him over and over, and yet I kinda hope he never gets them right.
So yeah, trust your instinct.
OMG Vero, I know so many people who say “prinsil”. It’s so weird! Or they say, “prendzil” or “pressel”.
Hahahaha. You both seriously crack me up!
