As I mentioned before, the gang and I headed off to Santa Barbara to watch Fireworks on the beach! 

First order of business… putting together the tent!  Success (thanks to Candace!)

And off to the Pier!

And after a long day of soaking in the sun and barbeque (and s’mores!), we finally saw the fireworks after sunset!

Then the next day… we went to the Santa Barbara Mission… which looks a little somethings like this:

I discovered some amazing chalk drawings sponsored by local businesses outside the Mission.  There were probably 100 of them!  I took pictures of my favorites.  I have to admit, I almost went a little postal on some people who were walking all over them!  Seriously disrespectful.  You’ll feel the same way once you see the photos:

And then we drove for 2.5 hours back to LA   It was a nice little getaway.  We had a good time.  I love holidays and 3 day weekends!  And I especially love the 4 day work week that follows!

After a lovely 4th of July in Santa Barbara with some friends (pictures to come!), I’m currently back at work with a TON to do! One of our producers is off getting married so I’m her backup! Woo-hoo! Let the craziness ensue! I’m looking forward to being busy and applying the knowledge I may or may not have to get several projects up and running this week. Should be a fabulous learning experience. At least we hope!
